Rebel Me!

Most of the time, my 'stumble upons' are good deals. And why I am loving this, because I believe I am weighing the most at this point of my life now.

I am joining the Rebel Bootcamp on their next available schedule! I am hoping for a shift on my mindset more than the reduction of weight/body size now. Hopefully, the idea of a constant workout session will stick to my stubborn mind once the rebellion starts!

It had been a real long time since the last post. I have not been practising a healthy routine of writing. I vow to write consistantly from today.

Why? I regreted on the speech which I had made on my dear colleague's wedding. I should have practised at least a few times before going up on stage to make the appearance! Let by gone be by gone, I hope to write and speak better. Most of all, I hope that the determination can last.

The hairy story

The haircut drama, again. 2 July '10 - stress level = high, hence the decision to cut and perm my hair. Instead of a de-stress session, I got my stress level to the max. The outcome was so de-motivating. I went back the next day, the stylist refused to fix it on the spot since it's a full house that day. Sadly I had to wear that hair style for the rest of the week till Wednesday.

That salon is located 25km away from my house, and I was trapped in the traffic after work while I was on my way there. What made my day worst was, hearing what the stylist had to tell me. ".. you know, you should've highlighted to me what you did not satisfied on Friday itself, so we both will not need to waste our time now" (mister, you'd seen the picture of the hair style on the magz I showed you, since it's not my first visit I was confident that you know what I wanted - thus I let you style and gel my hair, sadly after I wash it, it wasn't what I wanted!)

I couldn't believe that I would pay for a RM330 haircut as such (shown in the 'before' picture). What made the whole experience more unsettling, was that, the stylist asked if I would like to have a hairwash (chargeable) to see a better result! If that's how your service recovery is, it's definately my time to say sayonara to your salon, ever. After reasoning with him, finally reluctantly unwillingly he asked his assistant to wash my hair. And my assumption was right! My hair wasn't fix well! . What do you expect, mister? That I would come back again to fix the hair, and you could charge me haircut? As a consumer, I think I deserve a fair treat. It was not unreasonable to ask for a fix. He did fixed it at last, but the trust between us.. had broken.

Yes, I am picking up the pieces that i left behind, assembling 'em together. I ought to start blogging again to train my consistency and patient. I must be determined, I must learn about discipline. Even if it only mean I have to drop just a line here.

Amazingly only now, I realised that thoughts will be just thoughts if no action is performed upon them. I felt so much better writing them down. I hope today will be a good start.

I will win the race. Even when some might reminds me that the sun has set, but how would the sun rise without a sunset?

it wasn't that i'd forgotten about it (writing/blogging) but it was plain ignorant. niway, i guess it's the lack of resources that had pulled me back too.

i guess that now i am starting to straighten up my everything, it is good to keep some routine work to discipline myself.

it's official that it's a full 3 decades in e2. same job same routine for the past 3 years. even me couldn't believe my perseverance to this job. same sarcastic, same demanding customers. hard to please hard to come by. congratulations to meself! yay!

18 october 2008 : after knocking off from work, Yogi and i went to the nearest 7-e to get our booze.

parked my car at the bus-stop. we started to exchange our deepest thoughts on our existance in this world.. (yes poor picture taken.. thanks to Yogi. haha! hope you don't mind me critizising..)

yes, we may look happy.. but that's the Happiness in Disguise! i felt so much better after sharing my grievance with you, friend. thank you.

* so, i missed your birthday last year. i went for holiday. you made a big fuss about it, i felt terribly bad. i made sure i wont miss it this year, i'd scheduled my trip earlier. it was raining heavily but i was determined to go out, preparing something special so you would remember this. instead of getting a cake, i had this for you:

afraid that you might felt tired of eating cakes on your birthday but you totally turned me down on my good will. i was not mad. but i was hurt. badly. you told me how happy you were celebrating with your friends. yes, i am happy to hear that but at the same time i can't hold my sadness. you are growing up fast my darling, guess letting go isn't easy but i have to learn.

poor 'geendot' lost his head to my clumsiness today! i was rushing out to meet up with Mix, Gen, Tian and TC for Sushi King RM2 per plate feast.. it was raining very heavily! i ran my heart out to get the car coz i didn't want to use an umbrella. when i lose out the key from my hand, i was shocked to see only greendot's head!! one glance to my far away door step.. i saw his body and his scarf lying on the floor.. sob sob sob..

i shall schedule for an operation for greendot this sunday (my off day) to regain his life.

Here's a quick lunch which i always make for myself, be it in a rush or when i was just plain lazy..

Ingredients:

1. Pasta (i love spirals!)

2. Bell Peppers

3. "Bu Rudy" Indo-style chilli paste (which i only get from Aunt Jo! not available in Malaysia, Love it!! it also comes with dried prawns )

4. Chicken floss

Step1: Cook pasta till it soften in hot boiling water (add some salt for taste)

Step2: Cut bell-peppers into pieces, add to the boiling pasta 1 minute before you drain the pasta

Step3: Drain pasta, add to the mixture bowl together with the rest of the ingredients/seasonings

Just 3 steps! You can dive into this bowl of wonders!

nothing seems interesting lately.

everyone's busy with their own life, and I know well, people at my work place still busy complaining about their work, including myself.

there's a lot of things I'd been neglecting lately. especially my health. I started my Yoga routine more frequent now.

I really ought to find some good activities to fill up my spare time. well, in fact first thing to do is to find my spare time to fill in some good activities. LOL!

I'd missed camping @the seaside a lot.. the charcoals, baked beans, fresh seafood from the sea, campfire, and the temp-toilet tent.. hee hee..

Since we have the Olympic Games to occupy the whole August! and that I am looking forward to my HK/Macau trip in September08, so I guess the next camping trip will be postponed till year end.

I am damn frustrated that (I am on 4pm-12.45pm shift today) I will not be able to catch the opening ceremony of the Games today! Guess I will be catching the re-runs only. :(

Stay at Home Mom

I woke up with a queer feeling today. I had bad dreams. I dreamt about me trying on wedding dresses! It hadn't really hit me yet! I mean the idea of settling down, but what's wrong with me dreaming of such incident?!

Thank god my internet connection is back, putting this entry in will be something for me to laugh upon few years later! Haha. God knows if I will settle down, when the idea of being single is still interesting to me?

Well, on the other hand I feel happy for my friend, Peak Hui, who had been settling down for years! I've just got her mail today after some donkey months we haven't been in touch. She's someone that I am looking up to now. She has a caring hubby and smart little Kaye Kaye, and most of all she's a 'Stay at Home Mom'! 2 Thumbs Up, friend! Jia Youuu!

If I ought to be married one day, that's the life I am looking forward to. It's always the best idea to take care of your own kids, but how many of us are able to let go of our career for that? I'd always wanted my Miee to stay home for me when bro and I were young, but the real fact was that she had to work. I supposed Pa is able to sustain our family but they had chose to earn more money and loosen a little on family bonding for our better life. I never complain or have any regrets on that, as Pa and Miee had sacrificed a lot to us and they are still doing so.. Love you!

We reached Scarlett at around 10 pm. There wasn't a lot of people when we walked in to the place but we were disappointed to hear that there wasn't even any single table available. ALL FULLY BOOKED!! After a series of search for the head waiter, at last I managed to grab a pathetic tiny lounge table. What worst was, the location of the table - at the corner of the club which is more secluded than the back lane of Chow Kit road!

thus, i shall blog about my worst dining experience!

guys you may check out this place, visually it's enough you don't need to waste your time and money there!

the story, i went to this place, the social with my friend yesterday night for dinner. the place looks happening, but indeed it was deceiving. ha.. with loads of good looking people around but those food and services suck! first it was the Strawberry Smoothie i ordered! it was so SWEEET that the sweetness was so FAKE! to prevent myself from having diabetes, i decided to get them to add some ice to it. i was devastated to see the end result! firstly the waiter didn't take my order correctly i guess, he was rushing in his work which doesn't produce the quality of service we, customer expect in the end. worst thing of ALL, he came chasing after us for bills after we left our table thinking that we left our bills un-attended! cRap! we'd even paid the bills half an hour before we left! god gracious! such a chic place with such ChEaP service! well i do admit that yesterday i dressed down a little and made some fuss at first, but how could he disgrace his customer in such a manner?!! god. i should have walked back to the restaurant to demand to speak to his Manager face to face! CRAP!

i shall never return to that place anymore!

february, will be my favourite month of all.. but it's gonna end today. i'd trully enjoyed it this year with so many happening events! thank you all for spending the time with me!! (even thought i have so many good things happened to me, i still have bad lucks! which, the worst was that i hurt my two toes after the trip to Langkawi - i walked Miles, people!!! but i don't shed any weight!!!! :( thanks to the chocolates i ate!!!)

i wonder what will i be blogging about 4 years from now.. hmmphh.. what so special about this day? for i am still stucked in the office working till 12.45am!!!

tell me, which girl/woman doesn't love flowers?! even if it was given by someone you doesn't care at all.. but of all, i really wish YOU would send me flowers.

one lonely Vday this year.. but thank god I was working and we had CNY celebration after that.. oh well, what good is it if you can't have fun with your coligs at work? so we all went to Tian's place after work for dinner and low sang! before we proceed to Gen's place for supper (on the offerings for the Jade Emperor of Heaven) on the 9th day of CNY. the day ended at around 3am.

I slept like a log till the next noon! I skipped breakie and lunch, but I kept munching on CNY's snacks. I almost even skipped my dinner but when bro saw me munching on snacks he pulled me up and insisted me to have dinner with him. So we ended up at Pizza Uno (one of my fav place for pizza!) in Bandar Puteri. They still serve the superb thin crust pizza, but with better ambiance for this outlet.

I am so looking forward to my next visit to Barclub for steaks!! Gosh, enough said about food. If I ain't gonna start my damn Yoga soon, I will be bloating up to the size of 12!

if you are working in a call centre environment, you might be able to feel how i felt today. being bitched by a biaaatccchhh! i wish that she would have bad lucks for the rest of this year of RAT!!!

when a call comes in, we've got to pick it up whether or not it's a good call or a bad call. it's all luck, dear. all luck.

but why do we need a bad call? why can't they (customers) be more tame? they can get very personal when they dont get what they want from you. cursing your mother and sort. telling you what to do, as if she knows how your organisation works, condemning that you are rude! as if we are not well educated! hey bitch, you're the rude ones! bring a mirror and look into it! if you're that damn poor - you can't buy a mirror, borrow one from your neightbour! else bring a pot of water and have sometime to reflect yourself of how you'd talked to people! we dont owe you a bit, BIAAATCH! gosh, servicing this kind of 'people' (quote-our neighbour country) can be so depressing!

karma, karma.. we here believe in karma.. and plus, what goes up, must come down.. you will have your day to come. just beware when you walk alone in the dark, late night. if the dogs doesn't bark and bite, the monsters will scare you to death!

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said:"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee.

at last, on 17th jan 08... i am relased from the stress of being evaluated all time for call handling to pass this B.E.E. (Building Emotional Engagement) certification! being certified at last. plus+ i was shocked when i was called by my manager on this same lovely day, i thought i'd one complain case early this year but to my surprise it was a compliment (wrote in via email)! so on this day, i get to ring the bell for the first time in my life, in this contact centre... i hope i don't forget this date, for after a long one year plus service in the bank i've got to achieve something. not the best nor the worst, but i am satisfied for the effort that i'd put on to the job. p.s.: i know, i know.. you guys out there might have more than thousands of compliments and oscars award.. this is like peanuts to you. but i am still the little me, the happy me, easily contented me.

i had a terrible experience of car accident while i sent my aunt to the airport last year. i drifted away from my lane to the opposite lane. it was raining heavily. so i got my car banged to the side of the road. i went home for my long break last week and pa sent to the workshop for a fix! a quickie fix cost me only RM500 for knocking, spraying and polishing! :D happy happy!

it's all wet.. yes, rainy days.

i simply couldn't believe that the wind was so strong that i almost flew off from where i stood, plus the rain was pouring like nobody's business!

for year 2008, my first day at work is like a torture! my pants are wet, plus my jumper's wet too! gosh. well, thanks to Nigel's new GAP jumper i am saved from cold! Thank you Nigel. Love ya! ;)

okay, next trouble shooting.. the st. andrew's theme, team decor.. what the heck is that st andrew's celebration? so our team decided to put some flags decor and create some ginger bread houses to accomodate to this month's theme. thank god, there isn't too many calls coming in tonight.. we are all doing the team decor together-gather! :)

Ponggal festival tomoro! i am going to Yogi's place for makan makan in the morning before coming to work!

things i hate : i have at least 3 breakouts since 3 days ago! :(

new year's resolution : to do facials twice a week, do hair treatment once a week, yoga every morning! haha!

OCBC Annual Dinner 2007

Nothing much happening stuffs lately, except for my company's yearly event. The CFS Annual Dinner 2007!

This year's theme, from Strength to Super Strength! That includes cartoon characters and super heroes! This year's dinner was a little more organised. Everyone of us were to queue for registration and was given a lucky draw number (which was also the lucky dip number) and a coupon for photo taking. (unfortunately, I was not able to make it for the photo taking - no free pics/free photo frame :( ) So after registrating myself, I went over to another counter to redeem my gift which sadly, it's only, some RM30 Jusco Vouchers.. While others are getting Digital Cameras, Sony Ericsson Handphones, Hair Curlers, Fruit Juicers and even some who didn't attend (Jess, whom had to work night shift on that day) has got herself a Portable CD Player! :()

Well, of course I've got 3 of these vouchers which I'd used up two of them! Aheem.. hehe

Oh well, I guess I better be grateful with the pathetic vouchers. For some of them don't even get them. But OCBC was kind enough to give away this year's 'special door gift' - the so called 'key chain' to every attendees! wink*

Was last year's gift more practical? (Travelling bag) Well, I guess they were trying to be more innovative this year. I bet some of us might be complaining if we're still getting a bag this year. Enough of the bag collections from OCBC!! Haha. I've got 3 bags since I'd joined. The organising committees were kind enough to provide all of us with these props! Each table were given with the below items (or more of others)..

And we have people like our dear Gen, acting cute with some of the props! FYI, gosh I wonder why Gen's taking with him the wings! Which I wanted badly!

First of all, I am sorry for the long delay for this post. Hehe.. been busy for quite a while. Well, I heard that the new chain k-box @ Neway, Puchong is having great promo! Half priced for members till early December even for night sessions! I hope to get some good response for that, if we're gonna organise another k-session next week! Well, despite sleeping late at around 3am the previous night (halloween nite).. we managed to wake up early, (hehe, around 10am) to clear our throat and torture ourselves with each other's beautiful voices..

We were all so entertained by each other, there's not much word left to said.. Pictures speaks a thousand words..

Thanks for all (Alex, Ivy, Tzyy Chyi, Woon Choon, Edward, Mix, Susan, Chui Ling, Jess, Gen, Nicko, Erica and Hong Tian) that attended the partiee that night! It's indeed a memorable one, even thought all of you guys refused to dressed up. Thanks for TC & Nicko whom tried to bring some props for us to play around with, the devil's horn and the scary&weirdo mask!

Hmm, there're some people that I would really like to thank. Well, of course there are some of 'em like these guys.. Alex and Ivy came real early on that day for the preparation. We (me & Vincci) went out for lunch first with them, then we went to one of the frozen food shop at Equine to get all the delicious fish balls, sotong balls, fake abalones, and etc. etc..

After we're done with the shopping, we headed home for the preparation while waiting for the rest to come. Vincci helped before she left before the partiee started! (sis deary, thanks for all the tips on photo editing. It sure comes in handy for this blog!)

Note the abalone, those were the fake ones. Which only cost RM6.50 per piece. We bought two of 'em. The dish was well presented by our Chef de Chief Alex San, with the specially prepared sauce by Ms Ivy Tan. For the urge of being spoilt by expensive food, even the fake abalones captured everyone's heart! Hah! Here are some pics before the war (of food) starts.

Not forgetting Edward ordered another set of pizza for 6, despite all the food we'd prepared. I'll never forget the look in his face when he stared at those food. Such an intimidating look, but no one to blame for our Missy Susan (aka DBKL) is a glutton trained by Edward.

Guy's default nature.. always enjoying the idiot box and the remote control! Apart from that, what do they do best? EAT, SLEEP and.. you know what... *wink :P (Gen, Woon Choon, TC)

Some random pictures after everyone's tummy had been filled! Basically there were two batches of them who came in separate timing. Erica, Nicko, Tian & Chui Ling, thanks for coming even after your odd shift hours at 12/1am! Glad that you guys were here! Can't wait for the next upcoming one! Hope we don't need to wait till Erica's wedding! Hah!

Haaa.. I know, I know.. Gen, you must be real mad! Sajer, nak buat kacau!! I know you only want Jess but too bad her heart is not easy to pursue. You know, the stars so high up on the sky... cannot get means cannot get! The impossible will remain impossible. :p

Gosh, don't they have the purrrrfect couple look?! Really make people envy dude!
